A letter received from BALPA dated 10th May 2017:

FAO Richard Toomer, Head of Communications & External Relations.
Dear Richard, OPEN COMMUNICATION
I acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 10th May 2017.
The Aerotoxic Association web site has been live for 10 years since 18th June 2007 and this is the first time that any organisation has complained about the use of their logo.
We have changed all the BALPA logos on the Aerotoxic web site and replaced them for the old logo, which was in use when I was a member of BALPA in 2005. I hope that this is agreeable as, it’s clearly important that your existing members can see that their union have their health interests as your primary concern.
I have also removed the content of the ‘Burn out’ article but kept a link, as again it is of interest to all so-called ‘burnt out’ aircrew and airline passengers.
Can you please confirm that it is permissible to continue to publish the BALPA sponsored Cabin Air Quality conference evidence and conclusions from 20/21 April 2005, as the evidence is not currently available on the BALPA web site?
(Old BALPA logo is included as part of the conference document from 2005).
And can you confirm that BALPA will be attending the next CAQ conference in London on 19/20 September 2017?
I look forward to your timely response.
Chairman Aerotoxic Association
