Dear Mr Briggs,
In 1997 expert scientists stated that there would be 100,000 vCJD cases caused by eating beef.
They claimed that just one gram could trigger CJD and BSE but neglected to mention known pharmaceutical causes.
Injecting hormones from dead bodies had been proven to transmit these diseases by transferring mutated proteins. The long-term effect is death.
Compensation had been paid to children given such treatments – following a court case.
Even blood donations and surgical instruments were later said to spread vCJD and yet….
Official UK figures state that there have been just 178 vCJD cases. Compensation is paid.
Interestingly the same judge in the iatrogenic CJD case was involved with the OP group litigation. Organophosphates can alter protein structure.
In 1999 expert scientists declared that there were no long-term effects caused by OP exposure and yet…..
Hundreds of thousands are exposed to OPs and die every year. The long-term effect is death.
It is admitted that official figures grossly underestimate the number made disabled and/or killed by these chemicals.
Many thousands suffer chronic effects without ever knowing they were exposed.
A West Country MP admitted that a thousand shepherds had died from OP poisoning in the UK.
Exposed groups range from pilots to lorry drivers, from soldiers to unborn children – everyone – all failed by the system.
So why would the government authorise compensation for vCJD cases yet refuse to allow recognition of OP poisoning “for fear of opening the flood gates” ?
They obviously know that larger numbers are involved.
Did they know that the science regarding BSE and vCJD was grossly flawed and that the numbers were overstated? BSE cases have not ended, despite the science.
BSE Negative cases have never been explained.
Sir Peter Viggers, during a Select Committee hearing in 1997, referred to an “obvious cover-up over OPs”. The effects of the poisons are well-known.
Any concern shown is obviously not for the suffering caused to so many but for the potential cost to the government.
An inquiry is urgently needed to investigate the officially sanctioned deception involved.
