18 years after the incident, East West Airlines Ltd can appeal no more against the judgement in favour of Joanne Turner.
On 4 March 1992 [Turner] was on a flight between Sydney and Brisbane on a BAe, registered VH-EWS, an aircraft operated by Eastwest. […] On descent into Brisbane and for a period of about twenty minutes of the descent, smoke was emitted into the cabin. There was a thick cloud of smoke.
