MPs will debate the use of organophosphates today, (10th June 2015) with some calling for a full public inquiry to be held. The chemical has been linked to chronic illness in some farmers, after its use was made mandatory in the 1970s and 80s to combat sheep scab. We hear from one farmer who says it took several years to get a diagnosis after he was exposed to organophosphate sheep dip since the age of 17.
